About Sarah…

My Background

I began my career in 2007 in Toronto as a Kinesiologist offering in-home exercise therapy for elder adults and people with disabilities, injuries, and chronic illnesses. I attended these home visits for years by bicycle – rain, shine, or even snow. I later shifted to a clinical setting and joined the team of physiotherapists at InsideOut Physiotherapy in Toronto, where I gained invaluable experience developing clinical skills and participating in a collaborative approach. Concurrently, I was continuing my education at the Canadian College of Osteopathy, and graduated in 2015. Since then, I have held a dual practice, offering services as a Registered Kinesiologist and as an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner.

In the great shuffle of 2020, I said farewell to the city life, embraced country living in the Niagara region, and opened my solo practice “Sarah Hamilton Osteopathy and Kinesiology” – offering virtual care from my farm property and in-person care in Toronto two days a week. Now, in 2025, I am delighted to expand my offerings for in-person care to the Niagara Region.

My credentials

I have an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from McMaster University (2004) and am a Registered Kinesiologist with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario.

I have a Diploma of Osteopathic Manual Practice from the Canadian College of Osteopathy (2015), and I am a member of the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners.

I love (and am committed to) lifelong learning. I enjoy expanding my knowledge and skills through regular continuing education courses, webinars, reading, and learning from colleagues.

My approach

I offer a hands-on whole-body approach utilizing osteopathic manual therapy, therapeutic taping, and therapeutic exercise. My role as an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner is to identify causes of dysfunction and to apply gentle manual techniques to help remove mechanical barriers obstructing healing processes. My role as a Kinesiologist is to help guide healthy movement strategies and habits, and to help restore function and improve health through individualized exercise programs. I have worked with people of all ages (including infants and elder adults) and with a wide variety of acute and chronic conditions

Outside of my clinical practice, I can be found exploring the world through dance, yoga, pilates, swimming, camping, hiking, cooking, travel, and gardening.
